what’s the origin story?

lara nasser was living in new york when she started making caps that say “بابا”, to fundraise and also connect with fellow arabs out in the wild. since 2017, the caps have circulated and gained a small cult following. nasser recently began designing new products, expanding the shared universe of arab and diaspora kids united under baba’s disapproval.
